When pricing a vinyl banner, there are three things to consider: the number of colors, the quantity of banners desired, and the quality of the image you wish reproduced (which, in turn, is dependent on the quality of art - image, photo or lettering). If you only have one or two colors in your artwork with no shading variations and gradation of colors, lettered vinyl banners are the least expensive. But if you are looking for photographic quality reproduction, digital printing is a requisite. New technology in UV inks allows us to guarantee our banners for up to 3 years (six years with laminating). If production in quantities (typically more than 10 or 15 banners) is necessary, screen printed vinyl banners will generally give the best prices. When full color and high resolution are crucial!
Research in vinyl banner printing now enables specially made nonfading UV inks to permanently absorb into custom vinyl banner material making printed banners as durable and long lasting as traditional vinyl lettering placed on banners or digital printing on vinyl sign or banners using solvent inks. Our production floor uses a half million dollar (up to 600 dpi) Vutek PressVu 180/600 flat-bed printer which can print on both rigid and flexible materials. In addition, we have two Roland Soljet 645EXSJ printers (54 and 104 inch widths - up to 720 x 1440 dpi). All three printers use UV inks which carry a guaranteed outdoor life of three years (six years with a laminate). We also use 3 Jetpro II FJ540 printers with up to 1400 dpi that use traditional solvent inks with a guaranteed 6 year outdoor life.
