Kwanzaa Banners - Kwanzaa is an African American festivity lasting one week form Dec. 26 to Jan. 1.
It was created by a black activitist named Ron Karenga, to overcome the growing commercialization of the
Christmas holidays. It is based loosely on the first harvest celebrations celebrated throughout
Africa in October. The name comes from a Swahili phrase which means "first fruits".
If you would like to customize your Kwanzaa banner with the names and/or pictures of your family,
order the banner below and send us instructions on how you would like to change it.
We will place them on the
Kwanzaa banner for no extra charge as long as the photograph is of high enough quality.
