Our customers use indoor banners for a host of purposes including trade shows,
school functions, parties, etc. Before purchasing, there are several things you should consider.
First, do you intend to use the banner more than once?
Some banners can be made on cheaper material if they are intended for only one special event -
a welcome home party, for example. But for those that attend a number of trade shows
probably use the same banner often. In these cases, the banner should be made of a
sturdy material (at least 10 oz). We have found that constantly rolling banners up or out
cause the cheaper vinyl to become worn and brittle. Second, consider personalizing the indoor banner.
For example, you may wish to include the picture of the guest of honor at a party,
or your name, company logo, and picture on a trade show banner.
Digital printing has become so high tech and inexpensive that virtually anything can now be
printed on banners with up to 1440 dpi resolution. The new UV inks penetrate the
vinyl for years of use without fading. And if you decide you want to eventually use the
banner outside, you can laminate it for added life expectancy. However, we do not
recommend a 10 oz banners for use outside permanently (bring them in during storms or high winds).
They will not withstand the inclement weather.
